Meet Marie
Hello!
My approach to therapy is collaborative and is inspired by the unique challenges, strengths and stories you bring into each session. Some areas I can support you with include understanding and managing emotions more effectively, moving from self-criticism to self-compassion, exploring values and how to live by them, and processing difficult events. My areas of interest include but are not limited to eating disorders and disordered eating, body image concerns, self-esteem and self-worth, anxiety disorders, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, life transitions, expatriation/repatriation, and cultural and spiritual exploration.
To help you reach your potential, I draw from various therapeutic approaches supported by research, including DBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused. My goal is to create an environment where you can show up, and feel safe and empowered.
Meeting a new therapist and asking for help is an act of courage. You can expect inclusivity, compassion, empathy, and a little humour during our time together.
